Commenting Mark Eastwood MP said:
"I was pleased to attend the event and was grateful for the opportunity to understand more about initiatives such as Braille Bricks, which are a great example of how children can learn more effectively alongside their sighted peers.
I look forward to receiving briefings and local statistics from RNIB and developing a greater understanding of the challenges facing those living with sight loss in our constituency."
What are LEGO Braille Bricks?
LEGO Braille Bricks are a playful and tactile tool to teach braille to children with vision impairment. The LEGO bricks in each set have been adjusted to correspond to the Unified English Braille alphabet.
Each LEGO brick has a printed letter or character so that sighted teachers, students and family members can play on equal terms with a child with vision impairment.
