Dewsbury MP, Mark Eastwood and Mirfield Councillor Martyn Bolt recently had a meeting with the Environment Agency.
Mark Eastwood has appealed to local residents in Mirfield and Ravensthorpe.
"Following a recent meeting, I have had with the Environment Agency and Councillor Martyn bolt, I am pleased to report that the agency has instructed consultants to undertake a feasibility study into all matters relating to river flooding in Ravensthorpe and Mirfield. This study will review previous work undertaken but importantly will have a look at new options including economic appraisals and great aid.
In order to assist with this, the Environment Agency has asked me to supply evidence in the form of any photos or videos from February 2020. This information is vital to the validation process and will ensure the agency has the best possible understanding of flood risk in the area."
