Dewsbury MP, Mark Eastwood last month launched his inaugural Annual Christmas Card competition in which he encouraged primary school children to send in festive-related pictures to feature on the front of his official Christmas card.
The competition was well received by local school children with many taking part. In announcing the winner Mark Eastwood said.
“It was lovely to visit Westmoor Primary School this week to thank children for taking part in my Christmas card competition.
Well done to seven-year-old Olivia Howgate for her winning entry which embraces positivity for the future, and runner-up Meher Ali aged nine, who featured the Prime Minister on her card.
I also visited Kirkburton CE First School, to thank runner-up Ewan Plumb aged nine for his fantastic design of Emley Moor Mast’.
A special thanks to all the other children who contributed. I received so many fantastic designs, and I would like to thank everyone that entered - picking the winner was a really tough decision.”
