Mark Eastwood has taken part in Civic and Community events to commemorate Remembrance Season,
As Parliamentary Private Secretary for the Ministry of Defence this is a poignant time for Mark, and alongside laying wreaths and crosses at Remembrance Services at Dewsbury Cemetery, Dewsbury Town Centre, Mirfield and Westminster, he also did his part to raise money for the Poppy Appeal with poppy-selling stints in Mirfield Co-Op and Dewsbury's Asda store alongside local Royal British Legion volunteers.
Down in Westminster, he also took part in the Royal British Legion's annual "Poppy Ride", where Parliamentarians team up with serving personnel to cycle as far as they can in five minutes, competing against each other to raise cash and awareness for the Poppy Appeal within Parliament.
Although he was pipped to the top spot by slightly faster colleagues, Mark was within the top 5 MPs, and was pleased to do his bit for such a worthy cause.
