Speeding in Dewsbury, Mirfield, Kirkburton and Denby Dale
Mark Eastwood MP today (09/09/21) highlighted the significant increase in reports of speeding hotspots across Dewsbury, Mirfield, Kirkburton and Denby Dale. This has led to an escalation in reported accidents and near misses. However, the ability to address this issue with road safety measures such as speed cameras is hampered by the Department for Transport circular 2007. Mark was pleased to hear from the Minister that the department is currently working on redrafting this circular, with a new version to be published by the end of the year.
