Message from Mark Eastwood MP
Ahead of what it is expected to be a very nice weekend in Yorkshire, I would like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable weekend.
Yorkshire Water has informed me that while local reservoirs remain open to enable local people to walk to and around. Their reservoir car parks remain closed, and they request that people respect local residents by not parking on nearby roads.
The benefits of sports and outdoor activity are well-known. I believe that it is particularly important that we continue to look after our physical and mental wellbeing during this time.
People can now exercise outdoors as many times a day as they wish. With members of your household, and one person from outside your household. People may now also drive to outdoor open spaces irrespective of distance, so long as they respect social distancing guidance while they are there
Finally, I would request that we all continue to do our bit to keep the infection rate low by staying alert, using common-sense, washing our hands regularly and respecting social distancing.
