Mark Eastwood Raises Over £2,650 for the Kirkwood
Mark Eastwood MP yesterday (19/09/21) jumped from a plane at 15,000 feet to raise money for The Kirkwood, the Kirklees Hospice.
Speaking about the experience Mark thanked those who donated and provided an insight into his thoughts on the experience.
Mark Eastwood MP for Dewsbury said:
I am delighted to have raised over £2,650 for the Kirkwood, along with much need awareness of the fantastic work they do providing end-of-life care to people in need across Kirklees. I decided to take on this challenge as I know like many charities they have gone through such a tough time during the pandemic.
As you can imagine, the thought of jumping out of a plane at 15,000ft is not something that has filled my heart with much joy over the last few months! However, having taken the plunge, it was ultimately an exhilarating, once in a lifetime opportunity that I am delighted to have been able to experience.
Thank you also to everybody who has donated, I really do appreciate the support.
If you would like to sponsor Mark, there is still time, and all donations for the Kirkwood will be genuinely appreciated. Please go to Mark's just Just Giving Page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Mark-Eastwood-MP
