Mark Eastwood MP embarks on further Police Service Parliamentary Scheme duty
Mark Eastwood MP has joined officers to undertake further work as part of the Police Service Parliamentary Scheme which opens a unique window into the world of everyday life in the police force and the tasks they are asked to undertake on our behalf.
The objective of the scheme is to help parliamentarians understand the work of the police force and foster genuine personally informed contributions to participate in debates.
Mark Eastwood MP said:
"It was great to get out on patrol with Sgt Richard Neeves and the patrol teams last week as part of two days spent on the Police Service Parliamentary Scheme over at Police HQ in Normanton.
Also joined CID, Safeguarding and senior officers to gain an understanding of the challenges and pressures the police face on a day to day basis."
