Mark Eastwood has met with representatives of the Dewsbury business community and West Yorkshire Police to promote a new scheme to give town centre businesses direct police access for reporting crime and antisocial behaviour.
Paul Ellis and Bruce Bird from Dewsbury Chamber of Trade, and Chief Superintendent Jim Griffiths of West Yorkshire Police met with Mark in his Dewsbury town centre office to discuss using West Yorkshire Police's Partnership Portal to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour in the town centre.
This system gives businesses a direct line of communication with West Yorkshire Police where they can share intelligence to make sure that police focus on the areas that need extra intervention.

"This is a great scheme for businesses, but everyone can do their bit to make Dewsbury safer by reporting crime or suspicious behaviour on 101 or the online reporting portal at https://www.westyorkshire.police.uk/contact-us"
