Mark Eastwood has announced the winners of his annual Christmas Card competition, whose designs are being featured on his Christmas Card to be sent to hundreds of people across Dewsbury, Mirfield, Kirkburton and Denby Dale.
Children from Headfield Junior School and Pentland Infant and Nursery School whose designs made it on to the card were presented with certificates and prizes during their school assemblies.
Talented young artist Maryam, age 10, from Headfield Junior School was selected as the winning design, with her drawing of Santa and his reindeer passing Dewsbury Town Hall making it to the front of the card.
Mark has even presented the card to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who was equally impressed by the high standards on display from Dewsbury's artistic pupils.
Runner up and highly commended designs from Abdul, Yaya, Hasina, Aleena, Nusayn, Hamdaan, Aimkane and Hashim were featured on the inside and back of the card, and they all received certificates.
